The Vatican to mediate between Russia and Ukraine?

Pope Francis takes unprecedented step in Russia-Ukraine crisis

VATICAN CITY: Pope Francis went to the Russian embassy in Rome on Friday to personally express his concern about the war in Ukraine, in an extraordinary papal gesture that has no recent precedent.

Popes usually receive ambassadors and heads of state in the Vatican. For Francis to travel a short distance to the Russian embassy outside the Vatican walls was a sign of his strength of feeling about Moscow‘s invasion of Ukraine.”

Ezekiel tells us in chapter 38 that sometime in the future Russia will be visited by some impressionable organization. I’m not sure if this “Russian” visit could mean the embassy in Rome or will it be Russia itself. This visit from Pope Francis was just to the Russian embassy.

Ezekiel 38: “After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.”
