A passion for hearing from the Lord

I have a passion for hearing from the Lord.  Not in any prophetic way but in a relational way.  When I have a question, concern or need/want in my life, I will bring it to the Lord via prayer or just in a chat with Him.  An example is after I semi-retired I was bored and wanted something more with my life.  I was out jogging one day and was talking to the Lord about this restlessness.  I told Him, maybe I will get another job? The only thing is I do like being home to take care of things.  It would be great; I thought to have a job where I could work from home.  When I got home from my jog, I wrote this down on a piece of paper.  Then I promptly forgot about it and the conversation I had with the Lord.  Well, through the process of time I started a bed and breakfast in my home using an extra bedroom that I had that had a private entrance.  As I said I forgot all about the conversation with God until I found a little piece of paper in my drawer that said, “I would like to work from my house”.  It floored me.  It surprised me because even though I forgot about my prayer, God didn’t.   

He loves us so much.  So many similar things have happened since then to strengthen my trust in a God who is highly focused on a relationship with his children.  

Lately as I continue to talk to God in this relational way, I have been seeking His wisdom on prophetic scripture in the Bible and what they mean. What I have come up with are the hypotheses that are written in this blog.
