Introduction
The second half of the 7 year tribulation will be much worse than the first half. Jesus says in Matthew 24:15-22 that right after the abomination of desolation there shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
How will you know when the second half is? The antichrist will place an abomination of desolation in the temple or on the altar. This will happen approximately midway through the tribulation.
When you see this happening the Bible tells you to flee to the mountains.
Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. 19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: 21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
Satan Thrown out of Heaven
Midway though the tribulation, Satan will also be thrown out of heaven.
In Revelation chapter 12 the devil is thrown out of heaven down to earth full of wrath against God’s people, the Jews. (Rev. 12:7-13)
Revelation 12:12 tells all the people living on earth to watch out because Satan has been thrown out of heaven and he has been cast to the earth!!
As soon as Satan sees that he has been cast to the earth he is full of great wrath and his main objective now is to persecute Israel (the woman) that brought forth Jesus (the man child).
Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
Satan’s Headquarters on Earth
Revelation 13
Satan has now been cast to the earth.
Satan is not omnipresent which means he cannot be present everywhere at the same time, so he will need to have a place to abide during the last 3 1/2 years of the tribulation. From Revelation 13:1 it sounds like he takes up residence in the city of Rome (the city with seven heads- hills).
Rev. 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
Satan is a fallen angel and lives in the spiritual world so you will not “see” him visually, but you will see his evil work being done. At first he will use one person, the antichrist, as a puppet to try and get his agenda done, along with the organization that the antichrist is in authority over. The organization that Satan begins to use to complete his agenda is called a beast with seven heads (Rome) and ten horns (possibly the UN Security Council) in Revelation 13.
The beast also looks like a leopard (possibly the EU) and has the feet of a bear, (possibly Russia) and a mouth like the mouth of a lion (possibly Britain).
At some point during the first of the tribulation the beast will have these attributes, but Satan is the one that takes over this organization and gives it his power and his throne and his authority.
Revelation 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
God, however, IS omnipresent. God can be present with someone in Russia at the same time he is present with someone in Egypt or anywhere.
Revelation 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Church verses State
Revelation 17:16-18 it says the ten horns (world government) hate the whore (Rome) and “eat her flesh and burn her with fire”. It sounds like the government finds a way to perform a nuclear strike on Rome to destroy it. In verse 17 it says that God Himself will put it in their hearts to fulfill this action.
If the United Nations Security Council represents the ten horns and it moves to Rome then it would have to agree to destroy itself along with the Rome whore. So instead of moving to Rome, it may be that the United Nations world government, even though ruled by Satan, stays in New York where most of the current United Nations infrastructure currently is.
Revelation 13:16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
Whether the United Nations world government moves to Rome or stays in New York, the one thing that is important is that it will be ruled by Satan.
The Leopard, Bear, and Lion combined into THE BEAST
Daniel 7:4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.
5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.
6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.
Both Daniel and Revelation talk about beasts coming up from the sea. (Read Daniel 7:4-7 and Revelation 13:1-2).
Do a comparison on the two beasts. Daniel talks about four beasts coming up from the sea. In Revelation there is only one beast. But there are some similarities in the beasts. In Daniel (before the tribulation) these beasts are 4 individual animals or entities (world powers). In Revelation (during the tribulation) all four are combined as one beast but having the attributes of all four.
Revelation 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
The mouth on the Beast is the mouth of a lion which makes you believe the prominent language will be English since the lion represents England. When doing research concerning the beast, make sure you translate any codes (like the name of the Beast) to English for it to make sense.
When you look at the Beast in Revelation, it sounds like the pope combines all world powers, Russia, the European Union, and the remaining United States into the UN-Vatican in Rome.
Satan (the dragon) is powering the antichrist and UN-Vatican at this point.
The United Nations Security Council has one mind
The Security Council has one mind when they all vote to make a decision. The decision will be based on what the antichrist wants to accomplish because at this point he will have veto power. It may be that the ten members Security Council, with the antichrist controlling three of them, will have power for only a short period of time as allowed by the Antichrist pope. See Revelation 17:12.
Revelation 17:12
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
Revelation 17:13
These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
