How to be ready for Jesus’s return at the Rapture?
1. Read the book of Revelation in the Bible. God tells us in Revelation 1:3 that if you read and keep the words of Revelation you will be blessed.
Revelation 1:3 3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
2. Study, study, study. Study God’s word. Prophecy books, Daniel and Revelation are good books to start in for prophecy.
2 Timothy 2:15 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
3. Watch and pray
Mark 13:33 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
4. Watch and be sober / have faith and love
1 Thessalonians 5:6-8 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
5. Preach and tell others
Mark 13:7-10 7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
6. Preach
Acts 4:11
7. Comfort and edify each other
1 Thessalonians 5:11 11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
8. Still fallible. We are still going to make mistakes
Matthew 26:69-7469 Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.70 But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.71 And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.72 And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.73 And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee.74 Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.
