New Altar

So it’s the middle of December and I was thinking about Christmas when I saw on YouTube that the third temple altar has been dedicated.  I was blown away.  My mind started racing to why that is significant in Bible prophecy.  I couldn’t remember so I went back to my website to do some research.  I’m going to post my findings here.

Solomon built the first temple. Solomon’s father, King David, had wanted to build a great temple for God a generation earlier, as a permanent resting place for the Ark of the Covenant which contained the Ten Commandments. However, God had forbidden him from doing so: “You will not build a house for my name for you are a man of battles and have shed blood” (1 Chronicles 28:3). Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the Lord had appeared to his father David (2 Chronicles 3:1). This new, stationary temple would replace the portable tabernacle constructed during the wilderness wandering.

(2 Chronicles 3:1) Then Solomon began to build the house of the Lord at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the Lord appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

Where is Mount Moriah? It’s interesting that the temple was build “in the threshing floor”
