THE TIME BETWEEN the Rapture and the Great Tribulation

The First Beast in Daniel 7

The first beast is “like a lion and had eagle’s wings”.

4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings: …

The United States has a political symbol of an eagle; however, the United States began as part of England which has a political symbol of a lion.

This 1st beast seems to represent the United States before the rapture as stated in the first half of verse 4.  See below the second half of verse 4 seems to represent the United States after the rapture.

4 … I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.

In his vision, Daniel watches the United States until the wings were “plucked” and the kingdom was lifted up from the earth, and made to stand upon its feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.

I wondered what is the original Hebrew word meaning for the word “plucked”? Could that possibly mean the Rapture of the church?

The original hebrew word for plucked is mer-at’; (Aramaic) corresponding to H4803; to pull off:—be plucked.

I went back to where the rapture is talked about in 1 Thessalonians 4:17. It talks about the “catching up” of the believers by Christ at the Rapture of the church. I looked up “caught up” in the Blue Letter Bible to research the original text (G726-harpazo) of the word and I noticed that one of the original meanings given to the word was “pluck”.

The KJV translates Strong’s G726 in the following manner: catch up (4x), take by force (3x), catch away (2x), pluck (2x), catch (1x), pull (1x)

This makes me think that the word plucked in Daniel 7:4 could represent the Rapture of the church!

Daniel 11:4 also talks about the United States and how the President of this mighty nation “stands up”.  Notice how it says the United States will be “plucked up”.

Daniel 11:4  And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven; and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled: for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others beside those.

“Plucked” is the same term used to represent the destruction of America’s sovereignty and power in Daniel 11:4 and also in Daniel 7:4..I believe “plucked” is a description of the economic and political demise of the United States after the rapture happens.

A Man’s Heart

Right after the rapture, the Bible, in Daniel 7:4 tells us United States is given a “man’s heart”.

Daniel 7:4 …it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.

In order to understand what a “man’s heart” means let’s look at Daniel 4:16.

Daniel 4:16  Let his heart be changed from man‘s, and let a beast’s heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him.

In Daniel chapter 4 King Nebuchadnezzar has a dream that tells him that he will change and become a beast of the field for seven years.  The dream then becomes a reality at the end of the chapter.

Important to remember:  King Nebuchadnezzar represents the end time’s antichrist.

King Nebuchadnezzar was ruler over ancient Babylon.

The antichrist will be the ruler over future Mystery Babylon (Rome) during the tribulation.  When you read about King Nebuchadnezzar in the book of Daniel think forward to the “king during the tribulation” – the antichrist and his entire organization.

In Daniel 4:16 King Nebuchadnezzar’s heart is changed from a man’s heart to a beast’s heart for seven times (or years).   The antichrist will be a man during the tribulation that will be possessed by Satan.  Just as the antichrist heart will be changed from a man’s heart to a beast’s (Satan’s) heart for seven years, so was King Nebuchadnezzar’s.

The antichrist will be a man, a prominent man in the world, but still just a man.  Once the tribulation begins the antichrist’s heart will be possessed by Satan and therefore his heart will become a beast’s heart for 7 years.

The United States is lifted up from the earth (possibly a reference to those true Christians taken in the rapture).

Next the United States is given a man’s heart.  The “man’s heart” is the antichrist before he becomes part of “THE BEAST“.  THE BEAST organization will start to be created once the seven year tribulation begins.

So in other words the antichrist (the man’s heart) may have a role in establishing who takes over the United States after the rapture but before the tribulation begins.

Daniel 7:4b  I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.

The Second Beast in Daniel 7

The second beast  “like to a bear”.  I think the bear represents Russia.

Daniel 7:5  And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear,…

Russia’s political symbol is a bear.

Daniel 7:5  … and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.

The bear has three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it.  In October 2007, Russian president Vladimir Putin went to Iran to have talks about Iran’s nuclear agenda AND to talk about gas and oil pipeline issues in the Caspian Sea.

There are a total of five countries surrounding the Caspian Sea. Russia, Iran, and THREE former USSR countries: Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.

The three ribs may be the former USSR countries of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.

The Caspian sea holds almost half of the world’s natural gas and a fifth of its oil. This is important to Russia because Russia wants more control over global gas and oil markets AND is concerned about how to sell it’s gas and oil to Central Asia.

Here’s the kicker. The only way Russia can get oil to Central Asia right now is via a pipeline running through Israel.

Russia is paying Israel (in oil) for the use of this pipeline to get it’s oil to Asian countries. About a year ago Russia “flexed it’s political muscles” by turning off the gas to the Ukraine. (this was written in 2006)

Russia would love to have control over Israel’s pipeline too, without Israel’s interference.

—ALSO , Iran’s president, Ahmadinejad, wants to “wipe Israel off the map” as he has stated numerous times. (again this was written in 2006)

Russia wants control of the Israel pipeline and Iran wants to get rid of Israel.

They are meeting 10/16/07 with THREE other countries that used to belong to the USSR, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.

The Third Beast in Daniel 7

The third beast, the leopard, seems to be a revised type of the European Union after the rapture has happened.

Daniel 7:6  After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, …

My first thought of why the leopard represents the European Union AFTER the rapture is the phrase “After this I“.  A complete Bible search on the phrase “After this I” shows that all scripture relating to this phrase happens after the rapture.

The European Union needs to make some changes in order to solidify economically before it will be strong in the global environment.

I’m speculating that after the rapture the European Union will establish a treaty.  They will then try and hold up the wounded United States economically.  Four strong EU economical countries will band together in an effort to get the United States back on it’s feet after the rapture leaves it in chaos.

It’s possible that the leopard with “four wings of a fowl” described in Daniel 7:6 is a description of the four European Union countries of Germany, France, Britain and Italy that take the four regions of the United States “under it’s wing” economically after the rapture.

Daniel 7:6  After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.

It may be that after the rapture the countries of France, Italy, Britain and Belgium in the United Nations Security Council will combine to form a European Union seat.  This will establish “dominion” for the EU leopard.  The EU may establish four leadership positions.

The revised European Union treaty with a seat on the Security Council could govern the United States via the Trusteeship Council.

The Fourth Beast in Daniel 7

The fourth beast, talked about in Daniel 7 becomes strong “after” the rapture.  This is indicated by the “After this I” phrase.

Daniel   7:7
After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.

I think this world organization “beast” is in the world today but I don’t think this “beast” has very much power at the present time.  After the chaos of the rapture I think this organization becomes dreadful and terrible.  Throughout the tribulation this world organization changes and evolves into a great and terrible beast.

Daniel 7:7 tells us this beast will have great iron teeth to devour.  It will eventually stamp down all other sections of itself with it’s feet until it’s leader, Satan alone, dominates the entire world.   What is this beast?  The first clue we are given is that this beast has ten horns.

Ten Horns

Notice in Daniel 7:7 that this beast has ten horns or kings.   Usually one organization has just one president or king. 

The one world organization existing today that has ten global representations AND has the purpose of maintaining international peace and security is the United Nations.

The United Nations organization has a global body called the General Assembly which includes members from 191 countries around the world.

More about the United Nations

Within the United Nations there is also a powerful body of members called the Security Council.

According to the United Nations charter, all members of the United Nations General Assembly must abide by the decisions of the Security Council.

“Under the Charter, all Members of the United Nations agree to accept and carry out the decisions of the Security Council. While other organs of the United Nations make recommendations to Governments, the Council alone has the power to take decisions which Member States are obligated under the Charter to carry out.”

Below are the functions and powers of the Security Council:

• to maintain international peace and security in accordance with the principles and purposes of the United Nations;
• to investigate any dispute or situation which might lead to international friction;
• to recommend methods of adjusting such disputes or the terms of settlement;
• to formulate plans for the establishment of a system to regulate armaments;
• to determine the existence of a threat to the peace or act of aggression and to recommend what action should be taken;
• to call on Members to apply economic sanctions and other measures not involving the use of force to prevent or stop aggression;
• to take military action against an aggressor;
• to recommend the admission of new Members;
• to exercise the trusteeship functions of the United Nations in “strategic areas”;
• to recommend to the General Assembly the appointment of the Secretary-General and, together with the Assembly, to elect the Judges of the International Court of Justice.

The Security Council currently has 15 members but 10 representations.  There are five permanent members and ten members elected by the General Assembly for two-year terms.  There are also 10 representations as shown by the picture below.

I think the 10 representations of the UN Security Council will be the 10 horns talked about in Daniel 7:7.

Five permanent members of the Security Council have veto power:  1. The United States, 2. UK, 3. France, 4. China and 5. Russia.

Five regional bloc representations  do not have veto power:  6. Africa, 7. Latin America and Caribbean, 8. Asia, 9. Western Europe and 10. Eastern Europe.

1. The African bloc chooses three members;
2. Latin America and the Caribbean chooses two members,
3. Asian chooses two members,
4. Western European and Others blocs choose two members,
5. Eastern European bloc chooses one member

Note:  One of these members is an Arab country, alternately from the Asian or African bloc.

Another description of the 10 ambassadors

Daniel gives us another picture of this powerful beast world organization in the form of a statue in chapter 2.  Take a look at the description of the ten toes and feet in Daniel 2:40-43.

The toes are not made up of the same “strength” of material.  In the ten toes there is the strength of iron.  But some of the iron is mixed with a weak material, clay.

I think the mixture of miry clay and iron represents the contrasting powers of the United Nations Security Council members.

Part iron (the strength-veto power members) and part miry clay (not as strong or the non veto power members of the Security Council.)

Because some of the Security Council representations will have veto power and some will not, it will create a world organization that will be partly strong and partly broken.  The ten will not all agree and will therefore not cleave together.

40 And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.

41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.

42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.

43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

My speculation is that the fourth beast talked about in Daniel 7:7 may be the United Nations and the 10 horns may be the Security Council.  I think this beast will not change into dreadful and terrible until after the rapture happens .

This United Nations beast will become stronger and stronger during the tribulation and change into something even bigger as the tribulation progresses.

The Bible tells us that this United Nations beast will destroy many by using “peace”.  We’ll talk about this next.

By Peace Destroys many

Daniel 8:25 is a verse in the Bible that talks about the antichrist leader that eases his way into position within the United Nations Security Council after the rapture.   Notice how in the Bible it tells us that the evil leader destroys many “by peace”.  I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the United Nations Security Council main objective according to the United Nations charter is to “maintain international peace and security…”

Daniel 8:24   And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. 25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

Daniel 11:21  And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

The United Nations represents “peace” to the world and is diverse from all other world powers.  After the rapture the United Nations will stand to bring peace to those countries having difficulty coping with the economic demise and destruction.

But as always the UN will not be successful until the antichrist brings a so called spiritual vision to the United Nations and the world that will sound so convincing that lots of people will be deceived into following him and his evil plans.

The antichrist and his organization may agree to finance some of the United Nations expenses with it’s vast amounts of income.  The United Nations has been experiencing financial difficulty for the past few years and may agree to accept money in exchange for some type of power for the antichrist’s organization.

I think Satan, through the antichrist’s organization will use the United Nations and the antichrist leader to destroy the world.

Note:  The United Nations is represented by every country in the world except for the Vatican and Taiwan.  See if Taiwan makes it to the UN.  If it does then all countries will be represented in the UN except for the Vatican.

Another little horn

Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

As Daniel was considering the ten horns in this global organization, he sees another horn come up.  This horn represent the antichrist and a little small area. The antichrist will already be in place as a leader of an important world organization, and I think he is in place right now.  There will not be any time for a leader to become strong within seven years.  That’s why I think the antichrist is already in his position of power NOW.

The man – the antichrist – is very important, as is his organization.  In Daniel 7:8 the antichrist is described as having eyes of man and a mouth speaking great things representing a actual person of power and not just an organization.

After the rapture the world will be in chaos.  The world will be searching desperately for stability probably in a desperate spiritual sense.  A prominent world leader will stand up and flatter his way into providing this stability to the world.

The ten Security Council representations and the United Nations Secretary General will be convinced that the United Nations needs another different kind of Security Council member that will stabilize the world.  This stability will come from a trusted spiritual leader that is already a prominent leader in place in the smallest country in the world.

A country that isn’t currently a member of the United Nations.

The smallest country in the world, the Vatican-Holy See is the spiritual head of one billion Catholics.  The United Nations may think the pope will be the perfect solution to the world’s unrest after the rapture.  The pope will claim to have answers and people will look to him for security and spiritual truth. 

The real born again believers will be gone.  The only remaining people on the earth immediately after the rapture will be those that have been deceived by Satan.  Open your eyes to God and the truth.  Do not believe the deception during the tribulation.  If you do believe the deception you will go to Hell.  The Bible tells you the correct way to go to heaven.  Don’t listen to any person or even the pope tell you how to go to heaven.  Listen only to the Bible.  God will help you.  Pray yourself and ask Him too.

Read here to see how the Bible tells you to be saved.  The Catholic church does not proclaim the need for Christ in your life as a SAVIOR.  It does not tell you how to become a “born again” Christian the way the Bible explains it. 

You need to tell God YOURSELF, not through a priest,  that you need Him to save you from your sins.  Christ died on the cross so your sins would be paid for.  Through Christ’s death you can have life eternal.  Ask Christ to come into your life and save you.  Christ is the only way to heaven.  Be saved right now so you will go to heaven, either when the rapture happens or when you die. 

The pope is called “Holy Father”.  This is a lie.  There is NO “holy father” in the pope.  The Bible tells us in Revelation 15:4 that only God is holy. 

You have to choose who you are going to believe.  The Bible or the deception.

Revelation 15:4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

Satan deceives people by blinding them to the truth that Jesus is the only way to go to heaven and be saved from Hell.  There are lots of ways that Satan deceives people.  He tells people that if they will just be good in this life then they will go to heaven.  But people need to accept Christ as payment for their sins.

The antichrist, the false prophet and his organization will magnify their false ideology above even the one true God.

Daniel 8:11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of the sanctuary was cast down.

Information about the Catholic church

How many Catholics are there in the world?  The Roman Catholic church thinks of itself as the “original” church started by the apostles (the 12 disciples of Jesus).

The leader of the Roman Catholic church is the Pope. The Pope is the bishop of Rome hence the Roman part of the name. The word ‘catholic’ means worldwide and all the churches of the world that are in union with the Pope are Roman Catholic churches, about half of the Christians in the world are Roman Catholics (RC). The Roman Catholic church is concentrated in Western Europe, South America, the Philippines and parts of Africa.

Roman Catholics believe that Jesus made Peter (one of the disciples) the leader of the church after his death, and that Peter took charge of the church in Rome (which was the capitol of the Roman empire and thus the most powerful and important city of that time) and thus the bishops of Rome are Peters successors. The Pope lives in the Vatican. The Catholic church has a very distinct structure.

Diocese:  the sphere of a bishop’s jurisdiction (parish).

The Holy See is the spiritual and temporal government of the Vatican.

The Holy See currently has permanent observer status in the United Nations.  It owes its participation in the UN to an accident of history – the membership of Vatican City in the Universal Postal Union and the International Telecommunication Union.  The Vatican is a member of these unions because it owns postal and radio services.  Soon after its formation, the UN invited these organizations and their members to attend UN sessions on an impromptu basis, which the Vatican did. 

In 1957, as a result of confusion regarding the interchangeable use of the term Holy See and Vatican City, the secretary-general of the United Nations and the Holy See reached an agreement that relations should henceforth be understood as being between the United Nations and the Holy See. 

In 1964 the Holy See informed the United Nations Secretary-General that it had dispatched a permanent observer to the United Nations New York headquarters. 

The permanent observer was accepted and this granted the Holy See permanent observer status in the United Nations. 

No vote was ever taken on the Holy See’s presence at the United Nations by the General Assembly. 

After the rapture the Holy See (Vatican) may make it known to the U.N. that it will help govern the 10 world powers through its diocese network.

In Roman Catholicism, the pope is the bishop of the Diocese of Rome. He creates the other dioceses throughout the world and chooses their bishops.   A a diocese is an administrative territorial unit administered by a bishop.

Three plucked up

Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

The ten horns of the UN Security Council include permanent members of United States, UK, France, China and Russia and 5 other rotating representations of non-permanent members.  According to Daniel 7:8 three of these membes will be plucked up.

My speculation is that the three plucked up will be permanent members of the Security Council.  The five permanent members of the Security Council are United States, UK, France, China, and Russia.  These five are the members that have strong veto power.

If the European Union becomes stabilized after the rapture then I think the three members that will be plucked up are the United States, UK and France.  I think the antichrist will combine these three members with his own representation of the Vatican through Italy’s membership within the Security Council to form a seat for the European Union.

The Bible tells us in Daniel 9:26 that the antichrist’s organization comes from Rome.  It says in Daniel 9:26 that the “prince that shall come” will come from the people that destroyed the temple in 70AD.  The Romans under Titus destroyed the temple.  The antichrist, the false prophet will come from Rome.

I talk a lot about the antichrist’s organization instead of the individual person of the antichrist.  I don’t think the antichrist plays a very big part during the tribulation.  Not as big a part as the false prophet and the entire “beast” organization that takes over the world.

Daniel 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined..

The Interpretation

Daniel asks for and receives the interpretation of the fourth beast from the angel, Gabriel in Daniel 7:19-25.

Daniel 7:19-21 19 Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;    20 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.    21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;

23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

The fourth beast will be the fourth kingdom on earth.  The beast is NOT a person.  It consist of an entire kingdom complete with 10 kings ruling the world.

It will be different from all other kingdoms.  It will break down the whole world.  My strong speculation is that this beast will be the United Nations with a strong Security Council.  The antichrist and false prophet will be leading it.  I think this will happen after the rapture takes God’s people out of the world. Keep your eyes open.

The Vatican takes over the United Nations?

The Vatican (Holy See) is the only country (besides Taiwan) that is not a member of the United Nations.  The Vatican (Holy See) interacts with the United Nations by “permanent observer” status only. 

“The Holy See enjoys by its own choice the status of Permanent Observer at the United Nations, rather than of a full Member. This is due primarily to the desire of the Holy See to maintain absolute neutrality in specific political problems.”

This means that the Vatican (Holy See) is the only country that will not be obligated to carry out the Security Councils decisions. 

Article 25 of the UN Charter specifies that only full UN Member States agree to accept and carry out the decisions of the Security Council.

Because the Vatican (represented diplomatically as the Holy See) holds Permanent Observer State status rather than full membership, it is not legally bound by mandatory Security Council resolutions, such as sanctions or peacekeeping enforcement actions. The Vatican chose to remain a permanent observer specifically to maintain its absolute political neutrality.

Verses concerning the Antichrist, False Prophet and the Beast:

There are many scriptures in the Bible that talk about the antichrist, false prophet and the beast.  These three entities are the main characters during the tribulation. Their main purpose is to take your focus off Christ and His offer of eternal life, and put your focus ANYWHERE else.

There will be a large deception during the tribulation.

One way you will know who the anti-Christ is:

There are verses in the Bible that talk about the global organization that will rule the world during the tribulation.  This global organization, called a BEAST in the Bible, will include a religious section and a government section.   The leader of this BEAST global organization is called the “antichrist” in the Bible.  His right hand man is called the “false prophet”.

When scripture mentions the BEAST it includes the complete religious and governmental organization’s along with the ideology that they represents.  Describing the “beast” in the Bible is similar to describing “Washington” in that “Washington” represents the ideology that the United States represents and the values that it treasures.

Sometimes it is difficult to determine which scripture relates to the antichrist and which scripture relates to the false prophet.  At times a particular verse could represent either the antichrist or the false prophet.

The verses are difficult to determine because both the antichrist and the false prophet work so closely together during the tribulation.

Also, I think the antichrist has a significant event happen to him midway through the tribulation.  I think the antichrist will develop a serious illness, or be assassinated or may die.  I’m leaning toward an assassination.  At the time of the antichrist’s demise, the false prophet takes over running “the beast organization”.

Daniel 7:8
I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

Daniel 7:8 is possibly talking about the beast organization and the antichrist leader

“another little horn” – the beast organization

“eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things” – the antichrist

Daniel 7:8 talks about horns.  I think these horns represent the UN Security Council.

I think the “little horn” that comes up among the other horns may represent the Vatican, the smallest country in the world.

Three horns are then plucked up by the roots.  These three horns, or members of the UN Security Council may represent three members with veto power.  Possibly France, UK and the United States.

The description of the “eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things” may represent the pope, the leader of the Catholic Church.

Currently (3/8/2008) I think the antichrist will be the current pope, Pope Benedict and the false prophet will be Cardinal Bertone, the Vatican Secretary of State.

Daniel 7:20 is also possibly talking about the beast organization and the antichrist leader

“the other which came up” – the beast organization – the Vatican

“eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things” – the antichrist pope

Daniel 7:20 also talks about the horns and the three that fell.  It sounds like the Vatican uproots three of the permanent Security Council members.  Daniel 7:20 also talks about the antichrist that “had eyes and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.

The “very great things” spoken by the antichrist pope represents all the inaccuracies the pope and the Catholic Church speak about the Bible.

Daniel 7:20
And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.

Daniel 7:24-25 is talking about the antichrist.

Daniel 7:25 tells us that the antichrist will only be effective for three and a half years.  Look in Daniel 25 where is says “they shall be given into his hands until a time and times and the dividing of time.”

The word “time” represents a year.  The word “times” represents two years.  The “dividing of time” represents a half year.  If you add this up you will come up with 3 and a half years.  The tribulation lasts for 7 years.  Somewhere midway through the tribulation, something will happen to the antichrist that will allow  the false prophet to take over.

Daniel 7:24-25
And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. 25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

The Vatican is starting to focus on Latin America, Africa and Asia, countries globally located south and east.

Daniel 8:9-10 tells us that the antichrist’s organization, called the little horn, will become great toward the south, east and toward the pleasant land (Israel).

And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

The Vatican’s influence in Asia and Africa is growing, particularly as Catholicism continues to expand in these regions, with significant increases in the number of adherents and vocations. This growth contrasts sharply with the decline of Catholicism in Europe, highlighting the Vatican’s focus on evangelization and interfaith dialogue in these areas. 

Daniel 8:1010 And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground and stamped upon them.

The little horn becomes great and very strong and is able to cast down even some of the host of heaven to the ground.  This is an indicator that the verses are talking about the antichrist and his evil organization.  The antichrist’s organization, called the beast in the Bible, is ruled by Satan and will cause some angels to fall away from God.

This next couple of verses tell us that an individual that takes away the daily sacrifice.

I think this may be talking about the false prophet.  The daily sacrifice is suppose to be taken away midway through the tribulation according to Daniel 9:27.  The person who takes away the daily sacrifice is the same person in Daniel 9:27 and in Daniel 8:11-12.

Daniel 9:27 …and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,…

Daniel 8:11-12

11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of the sanctuary was cast down.    ¹²And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.

I think Daniel 8:23-25 may be talking about the antichrist.

This king of fierce countenance and understanding dark sentences stands up right after the rapture.  We are told in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 that the “man of sin” will be revealed right before “that day” the tribulation will come.  This will be right after the rapture.

Daniel 8:23-25 23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. 24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.    25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

2 Thessalonians 2:3
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Daniel 9:26-27 is a little confusing.  It could be talking about the antichrist or the false prophet.

I’m leaning toward the false prophet because I think the false prophet is the one who takes away the daily sacrifice midway through the tribulation.  I think the antichrist will be wounded in some way midway through the tribulation and therefore not able to take away the sacrifice.  I think his “right hand man” will do this in his behalf.

Daniel 9:26-27
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.  27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

The “abomination of desolation” will be some kind of image of the beast.

We are told in Matthew that the abomination of desolation will “stand in the holy place”.  Somehow either the antichrist or an image of the beast will be placed or will “stand” somewhere in the holy place which will be the third temple to be built sometime in the future.

Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

16Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

Revelation 13:14

And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

Revelation 13:15

And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

Revelation 14:9-10

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

The below verses may be about the antichrist, or the false prophet.  Remember, it may be that the antichrist will die mid way through the tribulation and the false prophet will take over.

Daniel 11:21
And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

Daniel 11:24
He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers’ fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time.

Daniel 11:36
And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

Daniel 11:37
Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.

Daniel 11:38
But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.

Daniel 11:39
Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.

One World Religion

A lot of people talk about a one world religion that will be organized at the end of the world. 

Here are some verses that talk about this one world religion.

Currently (3/8/2008) I think the antichrist will be the current pope, Pope Benedict and the false prophet will be Cardinal Bertone, the Vatican Secretary of State.

Here is a statement from Cardinal Bertone in March 2008.

5And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

What is SO wrong about Christian Unity and a one world religion?

The Bible tells us there is only one way to heaven and that is through the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross.  There is no other way.  We should love people but NOT be tolerant of any other views on how to get to heaven.  All other views will lead you to HELL.

There is NO other way to heaven without accepting Christ’s gift of salvation.

Holy See and Christian Unity

Since the Bible talks about a one world religion during the end times, we need to take a look at what is going on in the world today that would seem like the religions were combining into one.

Recently the Vatican has rallied for “Christian Unity” in all faiths including Islam. 

The one common bond that many of these false religions will have is the Old Testament and the mother of Christ, Mary. 

Jews, Christians, and Muslims all believe in the Old Testament.  The pope may claim Christian Unity by strengthening the relationship of the Jews, Christians and the Muslims using the Old Testament.

Everyone will take comfort in the pope and his leadership at a time when the world is falling apart.  The pope will say that the people who are claiming that the rapture has taken place are incorrect because he is still on earth and of course he would have been taken to heaven along with the “Christians”.

The Vatican, also called the Holy See, already has a relationship with the United Nations.  At the time of this writing, the relationship is not a very powerful one.

The saved in Christ will be gone with the rapture so the remaining people will be of faiths that did not profess Jesus as Lord. 

Muslims, Jews, Catholics, and various other false “Christian” faiths will remain in the world.    

After the rapture the antichrist-pope will be in a position that already has the respect and confidence of many people in the world.  

He will be able to raise money to fund the UN in its days of financial difficulty. 

He will have the answer to the world’s religious unrest and political chaos. 

He has a link to a sophisticated media, radio and television service in order to get the message across to the world that peace is a reality for all people. 

His predecessor, Pope John Paul II has already broke ground on establishing mutual accord with other religions including the Jews and Muslims and has expressed admission of guilt and made apology for sins committed in the past against religious groups and communities. 

Just recently Jews have visited the Vatican to thank the pope for his work to reconcile the two faiths of Judaism and Catholicism.  The road has been paved for him to set up a religious and political domination that he will say will bring peace and religious freedom to everyone on earth.

News – One World Religion

Daniel 9:27 tells us the antichrist will confirm a covenant with many for seven years.  I think the Vatican, Holy See will establish a covenant with many religions possibly even allowing the Jews to bring back their animal sacrifices.  This covenant signing will begin the seven year tribulation.

Dan. 9:27  And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

My opinion is the antichrist and his kingdom starts at the smallest country in the world, the Vatican City (Holy See). The Vatican city is 0.2 square miles, the Vatican has a population of 770 none of whom are permanent residents.

The tiny country which surrounds St. Peter’s Basilica is the spiritual center for the world’s Roman Catholics (over 1 billion strong). Also known as the Holy See, Vatican City is surrounded by Rome, Italy.

Mary: Coredemptrix, Mediatrix, Advocate

We are all privileged to be living during the climax of the universally designated “Age of Mary”.

The papal definition of the Blessed Virgin Mary: Coredemptrix, Mediatrix of all graces and Advocate of the people of God.  When the Church invokes Mary under the title, “Coredemptrix”, she means that Mary uniquely participated in the redemption of the human family by Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Saviour.

And at the foot of the cross of our Savior (Jn.19:26), Mary’s intense sufferings, united with those of her Son, as Pope John Paul II tells us, were, “also a contribution to the Redemption of us all” (Salvifici Doloris, n.25). Because of this intimate sharing in the redemption accomplished by the Lord, the Mother of the Redeemer is uniquely and rightly referred to by Pope John Paul II and the Church as the “Coredemptrix.”

Mary is our Advocate for people of God, in that she takes the petitions of her earthly children, especially in times of difficulties, and brings them through her maternal intercession before her Son and our Lord Jesus.

Key beliefs of the Roman Catholic church

Roman Catholics (RC) believe that they are part of the universal church, or body of believers in Christ.

That the RC church is a direct descendant of the church founded by Jesus and the apostles.

The servants of the church should be celibate and chaste and only men can be priests.

The central act of worship is the Eucharist or Holy Communion.

Only priests can perform the Eucharist or Holy Communion.

The church should be an example to all other people and do God’s work.

There are seven sacraments or holy acts these are the Eucharist, Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage, Penance (confession of sins), Ordination, Anointing of the sick.

Deception

Everyone will begin to believe that the antichrist-pope, the false prophet and their organization will be the way to go to heaven and the way to bring peace to the world. 

But this will be a deception.  You can make the choice on what to believe.  You and only you can make that choice.

People will begin to accept the antichrist-pope as the savior everyone is waiting for. 

Do not fall for this deception.  Give your life to Christ now.
